NAMI Champaign County is a family of individuals which includes artists and authors; some of these talented individuals have lived experience, but all care about people who live with mental health conditions.
Depending upon the season, our NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) family fabricates and donates handcrafted items for sale. We donate 10-100% of price to NAMI CC (Champaign County). Find out what’s happening at: [email protected]
We use the donations to train individuals to lead/guide our ALWAYS FREE classes & support groups. And most recently our new NAMI Signature Program, “Ending the Silence “. This is a 50 minute presentation that is tailored to: students or staff or families by a trained presenter plus a student presenter. The purpose of this program is to have individuals talk about mental health and to know that talking about suicide does NOT make someone do it but helps their brain relieve some of the pressure of holding onto those thoughts.
Call Alison Meanor, our Executive Director at (217) 714-5821 to schedule our trained individuals to speak to your group. AND if you’re interested in attending our artists’ venues, she can add you to our Monthly Newsletter List at: [email protected]
